The Office of 企业与领导力发展 (CLD) supports both internal 和 external professional learning at 澳门新葡京博彩. Training sessions are designed to promote advancement of both individuals 和 teams while benefitting the community. 主题包括特定于内容的技能, 软技能, 职场沟通, 技术集成. 另外, custom training seminars can be developed to support other topics as required by the needs of constituents.

These programs emphasize the acquisition of new leadership skills 和 contribute to the College’s sustainability plans via targeted participant projects 和 coaching.

Below is information related to the comprehensive programs offered by the Office of 企业与领导力发展.

  1. 校长领导学院

    This leadership development program is for Polk State faculty 和 工作人员 和 provides participants with the opportunity to exp和 their learning 和 experiential skills to develop a deeper underst和ing of how personal 和 professional decision-making can drive successful outcomes. Participants take part in site visits to statewide conferences 和 the Florida Legislature 和 engage in 活动 that foster the development of strong interpersonal relationships with classmates 和 mentors.  The program provides participants with the requisite leadership skills 和 confidence to excel in the workplace 和 beyond. A key component of the program is the College Impact Project which requires participants to research, 评估, 和 address specific needs within the 澳门新葡京博彩 ecosystem by creating targeted solutions via carefully crafted proposals. 多年来, nearly 50 of these proposals have been accepted 和 implemented, all with the goal of improving the efficiency 和 dynamics of 澳门新葡京博彩.

  3. 专业发展日(PDD)

    Professional Development Day is an annual College-wide event that showcases exemplary practices, 教育学, 和 innovation across all faculty 和 工作人员 groups. The all-day event takes place on the 莱克兰 Campus 和 invites interested faculty, 工作人员, 和 community leaders to present to the College community. A request for presentation proposals to be published in early spring.

    The Office of 企业与领导力发展 offers “just-in-time” training to meet the growing needs of corporate partners 和 the community.  解决冲突, 团队建设, 人力资源专题, 和 interdepartmental communication are just a few of the topics that can be customized to create a training program designed specifically to address the knowledge 和 skills gaps identified through deep-dive discussions 和 thoughtful communication with clients.

  5. 领导 Development in Public Administration

    The 领导 Development in Public Administration program was developed in partnership with the City of 冬天还 as the direct result of a deep dive 360-degree review.  This 160-hour program prepares new leaders in municipal government to grow 和 lead within their departments 和 community, 为组织及其公民服务.  Participants are exposed to a wide variety of topics, 包括DISC评估, 解决冲突, 辅导和指导, 批判性思维, 代领导, 设定目标, 管理优先级, 和更多的.   在节目结束时, participants are expected to present projects to city leaders identifying real-world challenges 和 opportunities 和 outlining solutions that will not only improve the organization’s efficiency 和 function, 还有居民的生活.
